| Harry Potter is a series of fantasy novel written by J.K. Rowling. The story is set at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The story revolves around a young wizard Harry Potter and an evil wizard Lord Voldemort. There are many characters in the series novel. The famous characters in Harry Potter are listed below.
Hannah Abbott was a student of the Hufflepuff House in the same year of Harry. Ernie Macmillan was her best friend. They both shared a common hobby of collecting golden frog cards.

She was married to Neville Longbottom another famous character in Harry Potter. Euan Abercrombie is another famous character in Harry Potter who enters Hogwart during Harry’s fifth year. Sirius Black was a wizard in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone who became a famous character in Harry Potter and Prisoners of Azkaban. Terry Boot is a Ravenclaw student in Harry’s year.
Madam Pomfrey is a matron of the hospital wing of Hogwarts and she was a magical healer. Ron went to Madam Ponfrey when he was bitten by a baby dragon, Norbett. Also Madam Pomfrey took care of Harry when his bones failed to grow after Gilderoy Lockhart failed to mend it. Madam Pomfrey took great care of Ron when he was poisoned.
Horace Slughorn was a Potions master at Hogwarts became a famous character in Harry Potter in the sixth book of the novel. He has served Hogwarts as a Potion Teacher since 1940s and retired in 1980’s among his students were Snape and Lily Evans, Potter’s mother. However we come across Slughorn only in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Slughorn briefly appears in the last of the Harry Potter Series, the Deathly Harrows to fight the death Eaters with other Hogwarts teachers.
Alastor “Mad Eye” Moody is a teacher of the Defense Against the Dark Arts. He is an ex Auror working for the Order of the Phoenix. Moody was a famous character in Harry Potter for single handedly capturing many wizard criminals.
Amelia Susan Bones was the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Susan Bones was Harry’s classmate from Hufflepuff. Edgar Bones is his brother who was a member of the Order of the Phoenix during the war and was killed by the Death Eaters along with his wife and children.
